I love my kids.

But I also like a little time away to relax, rekindle and renew my relationship with my Princess.

And the El Dorado Maroma is an exclusive adults-only resort.  So this trip is all about the romance.

The private beach at El Dorado Maroma is my favorite spot.  Definitely spend time on a beach bed with someone you love.   Caribbean breeze, the sea sending waves of crystal water over the sand, and complete privacy create an unforgettable romantic memory.

The second experience I recommend is a candlelit supper on the beach.  Imagine the look in her eyes when our waiter shows up with our Gourmet Inclusive specialties, under the stars, in a tropical paradise.

We always take advantage of concierge services to smooth out our stay.  Staff is adept at arranging tours, tickets, and transportation.    Ask about Beach Butlers and guess what?

Beach Butlers will bring everything necessary for an Oceanside barbeque or picnic.  Ice cold smoothies, jungle juice, or adult beverages appear almost before you ask.

The resort has a full service spa, three outdoor pools, and a marina.   The rooms are amazing and the truth is that I spent more time relaxing in my in-room Jacuzzi than the comfy bed.

Warning!   The spa treatments are a much sought after feature.  Reservations for treatments and massages are required.  Smart travelers make these reservations upon arrival.

I won’t waste my time describing the audio-visual equipment and complete set of perks available at the ElDorado Maroma business center.  Yes, you have access to state of the art business equipment while checked into one of the most romantic adults-only resorts in the world.

When we do leave the suite it’s just a few steps from the terrace to the lazy river.   Whoever thought this up is a genius.   It’s not part of a triathlon.  Just a leisurely float.

Mexican beers, tropical drinks, and Cheladas on a bar stool in the water!  Gourmet treats and tasty desserts add up to a sweet sunset.   This is perfect after an early evening supper and then drift back down the river to your suite.

Take time to discover the bars and lounges.  Some very good entertainment, interesting concoctions from the bar and some yummy food to sample all around the El Dorado Maroma resort.

We did miss the kids.   Kinda….  The resort provided complimentary slippers that were non-glass and comfy.  And, by the way . . .

I brought my own Princess.
